The M8 drops like a freaking rock, you lose $25k just driving off the lot. Discounts need to be waaaaay steeper.
911 all day at those prices. |

im with you 100% though. i personally wouldn’t touch an M8 over a 911, even a stripped base Carrera, but it’s not too hard to see why it’s a good, easy lease proposition for plenty of folks after a steep dealer discount vs the P car

If you are simply shopping for discounts, see how many 7-series your local dealer has in stock and what they'll do for you to get rid of one. I was told one dealership in DC had 95 7-series in-stock last week.

ICE 7, or the i7? either way im not surprised. the current design language (a block of cheese) along with the growth in the outer/inner dimensions of cars in general makes either one a tough sell imho

Would you mind expanding on that a bit? I've always been a bit interested in an M8 Competition for high $70ks/under 20k miles, and thought them to be reliable cars (unless you meant the depreciation bit was the nightmare which I surely agree on!).
Thanks. |

IMHO, if you can locate a CPO with fairly low mileage at the right price it isn't the type of nightmare that people have driving out of the showroom and seeing it's value drop immediately.

My local dealer has one and I had no idea the MSRP was $163k. Insanity considering the other options out there in the same price range.
