My car is coming up to a 12 month old, what are the service intervals on the new U11.

Most recommend annual change if your not hitting the mileage limit. I've let it go longer. I think 15 months is probably fine.

The car will say how long the service interval is in one of the menus

2 years I think in the UK and I can't remember the mileage but the car will decide depending on usage as to what is appropriate.

Have you got the app? If so it tells you in there what services are due and when.

This is mine below.

Look in the iDrive vehicle info. It will tell you have much time/mileage you have to go for each category. Mine was about 10K miles.

My oil change service was at 11 months at 8,880 miles….thought that was odd since it’s supposed to be 1 year/10K miles.

I was told if you ignore the service intervals for too long it can be grounds for denying warranty coverage.

I thought that mileage was an estimate, and the "count down" of the mileage may adjust based on the readings of the CBS ("conditions based system").

Probably is, just that every BMW I’ve had before was pretty much within 30 miles of the stated interval. To “lose” 1,000 miles on the interval made me wonder if something was going on with the motor that caused the oil to dirty faster.

Thank you all for the replies - I couldn't find it on my App, but found it on the car. Its either 18K or 2025 (March).

Speaking of upcoming service, my 2014 X1 could tell me "miles to go" until brake pads or other items needed service. Is that same mileage detail available on the U11? I checked the app and vehicle info and came up empty.

My 2023 X1 seems to be the opposite of this. I have about 9k miles and it says I have service due in 2k more miles - at 11k.

What do people do in this case when the car is telling you to go beyond the 10k recommendation? Would you bring it in at 10k or 11k?

I go for service when the CBS system says it's time. Did the same on my 328 which currently has 90,000 miles.

It's not solely based on total mileage. It's condition based. 10k city driving is probably going to be harsher on an engine than mostly highway long distance driving.

If you're willing to trust the computer then go with that recommendation.
