I got the recall notification when I logged into my BMW USA acct today. I sent an email to my service advisor. She literally just replied 2 minutes before I saw this thread.
According to her, the only recall for my '23 X1 is the integrated brake.(recall#24V-104) She advised me to wait until first week of April(around the time that my X1 is due for its very first oil change). Oh, and she said that they would definitely need the vehicle for at least 2 working days, so a loaner would be provided.(4 and half hours roundtrip to my nearest BMW dealer) Last edited by SpaceSilver.X1; 02-28-2024 at 06:12 PM.. |

There are 3 outstanding recalls at the moment, regardless what connected drive says (which is generally not much)....check your VIN on NHTSA site...usually recalls are posted there

NHTSA shows just one recall(the same brake issue). IIRC, my neighbor's X3 has a similar recall a couple of years ago. The master cylinder was replaced, which I believe was close to $1000 for the part.(retail price, of course) (knock on wood) Of the 7 cars/SUVs that I've owned since 2001, this is only the third time that I've encountered a recall. I have a dedicated small drawer marked "vehicle recalls" and there are only two in there: One was when Mercedes recalled and replaced the harmonic balancer for possible cracking issue almost 15 years ago.(according to the notes that I kept, the MB dealer gave me a Porsche Cayenne loaner for 2 days because they also happen to be a Porsche/Audi dealer at the time ) The other was the Toyota Avalon accelerator pedal recall from 2007(which Toyota dealer fixed in 15 minutes, by physically cutting off about 3/4-inch portion of the gas pedal) Last edited by SpaceSilver.X1; 02-28-2024 at 06:28 PM.. |

What year and model? Not seeing any ting open for my 2024 X1 M35.
It’s had 3 recalls but all are closed now. Last one was the programming control unit one done a few weeks ago at the dealer.

Notices from dealer/bmw didn't quote model years only models

Was 24 included on that list? Mine is a 24, maybe that’s why I’m not seeing some of these.

As I said, no model years quoted on the paperwork, only models...I wouldn't worry about these notices. None were considered critical. I only posted as an fyi...not my intention to worry anyone
