2024 X1 M35i suspension/ride quality
Those with a X1 M35i what's your ride quality like?
My 2024 X1 M35i has covered 500 miles and is 2 weeks old. I have 20" with Pirelli P Zero and on normal roads I find it rather bouncy when driving. I do feel every crack/bump/manhole cover etc. slightly less noticeable on freshly resurfaced roads. I know the low-profile and 20" wheels will play a factor but with my 2023 X1 23d on 20" felt a lot smoother on the same roads. I've had a play with adjusting the tyre pressures which has helped a bit and im starting to think there might be suspension fault or something else? Any advice would be appreciated before booking it into the dealers |

Dont go to the dealer. The car by defalut is tuned to be stiffer. Its an M performance car, so dont compare it with the other X1 Im sorry if you dont like it. There is a very recent review of iX2 and X2 M35 by autogefuel (in english) and its describing exactly the same thing. M35 much stiffer than iX2 m sport |

I drove the M35i for a couple of days. With its 20-inch wheels, I actually thought the ride was somewhat more comfortable than my xDrive28i with M Sport suspension on 18-inch wheels. Although I read somewhere that it could be due to the fact that the Pirelli P-Zero all-season tires had a very harsh, bouncy and non-compliant ride. (which I kind of knew because the 19-inch Continentals on the dealer's demo X1 with standard suspension also had a better ride than my X1)

I would say the type of tires make a big difference.
The car does settle in more after the 1k mark. I agree the initial ride is quite firm, especially with sport seats. |
