Mine would be to allow “Personal” & “Sport” mode to enable customizations for engine, transmission & steering feel separately in the 2024 x1 28i.

Yeah agree that would be good, my wife doesn't like the steering she prefers the weight of the old car so allowing her to choose other modes independently would be great.

Why they don't allow it is odd.

It’s a lame one, but I’d be happy if they just fixed the bugs in CarPlay and the drivetrain errors with remote start…

Fix the lag. Every screen, every selection, every menu, every startup is super laggy. It makes the lack of hard buttons that much more annoying.

Sort out the comfort access to open all doors from the driver’s side not just the driver’s door even when idrive is set to open all of them.

It moves the seat back to give more room to exit.

I'm gonna have to make note next time I drive when it slides back. Every time I fasten my seat belt after getting in the seat slides forward, but I've never noticed when it actually slides back when I stop the car.

Are you on idrive 8 or 9? I have a bad feeling that this feature is limited to idrive 9. Which would be a real blow for the early adopters

Just took delivery of a 2024 x1. Love the car, however the iDrive 8.5 interface is just terrible. It has to be the worst user interface I have ever seen in a car. Constantly makes me look away from the road to do the most basic of things like select a favorite radio or Sirius XM station. BMW is going to have some serious liabilty issues when people start getting into accidents while using it. My guess is the people who designed it don't regularly drive BMW cars that include it. If they did, they would see how bad and frustrating it is to use.

Just naming one thing is going to be difficult, since there are so many issues.

Here's a few:

1. accessing a list of favorite radio and sirius stations in the instrument cluster. Right now it displays all the stations available. At the very least they should have the favorite stations at the top of this list

2. radio station tiles or those appearing in the instrument cluster list (including HD stations) should include both the frequency numbers (i.e. 102.4) and call letters/names similar to the way they would appear on a standard radio interface (since I don't always remember the just the call letters)

3. comfort access option "open all doors" should actually open all doors. Even though I have this option selected I still have to open the drivers side rear door using the unlock button on the inside of the drivers side front door.

4. A way to change/customize the order of items in left colum on the home screen. For example, I would like the clock and current radio station to be shown in the left column with Waze running in the right side of the display

5. Not sure why there is no map display in instrument cluster when running Waze (assuming the map option is selected), but a map does appear if I run Google Maps.

6. More compact display of information. For example, radio and media tiles are way too big. As a result, I can only see 3 at a time in the panel, which requires a lot of scrolling to find the desired station/information

I can't remember exactly but there's a certain sequence needed for it it slide back. It's either Park and then release seat belt or release seat belt and then Park or it could be something else. Next time I get to drive it I'll check.

The at best annoying, and at worst the downright dangerous lag/hesitation when pulling out of junctions etc. - it has got to the point now where I am seriously considering looking at changing my car, even though I will take a huge financial hit.

And yes, I have reported it to both the dealer and BMW - BMW ignored my email and the dealer told me, "it's a characterisitc of the car, sir."
