LEGO BMW ///M Motorsport set
Some ad popped up about this set coming out and I thought it would be fun to build. Went to my local store inside of a mall and they sold out of the set in under 5 minutes. Ordered online and it came a couple weeks later. It's pretty sweet actually.

So disappointing to wait so long for a BMW car and we get these little ugly things.
Can you imagine a larger, more complex M1, 3.0 CSL or E46 CSL or GTR or something?

How much of the final design is stickers? I enjoy legos, but some of their sets have way to many stickers to apply.

There's a good amount of stickers here. But nothing too daunting to put together. The stickers themselves are relatively small as well. There's about 30 or so per car.

Not a fan, unfortunately.
I have the Pagani Utopia set and the Lambo Countach. Many of the others are hit or miss, IMO. A lot of the MOC stuff is much better than what corporate churns out. |

Pretty cool! I’m a huge James Bond fan and bought the DB5 set they had a few years back. First time building legos since I was way younger. I found it very relaxing .

Similar with the Porsche RS. No gearbox, but the 6 cyl boxer motor's pistons cycle as the rear wheels turn, the front wheels are controlled by the steering wheel, the doors function, and there's a hatch you can open to see the motor in the back. I put the light kit on this one and that even got my wife's approval to keep it in the family room. Next up is the Daytona, which is even bigger and more complex. Have the light kit for this one, too. No idea where I'm going to put it, though. |

Funny, I saw this post earlier today…went to Target with the wife this afternoon and lo and behold they had this set. Only 1 on the shelves, and there was no stock sticker so I’m thinking maybe it was an online return. Figured, fuck it why not. Ordered the lighting kit too. Should be fun
