Is there a way to disable this car from honking when it's turned on, but I walk away with the keys in my pocket? IE, ive turned in the car but forgot something inside the house etc?
None of my other BMWs ever did this... Pretty annoying.

My 228 did it and i was able to find the setting in the iDrive to shut it off but I am yet to locate in my 24 X1....

The dealership told me that it was a safety feature that allowed you to know when your car was left running. I get that but I don't want it!

Yeah I used to start and lock my last car, the new ones if I do the same throw a paddy. Sometimes they should just leave alone or give me setting that says I’m an idiot for doing x and click it and agree.

If you turn “comfort access” off ie the feature where the car locks itself when you walk away, it won’t honk.

Interesting--I have auto unlock on approach activated, but I deactivated auto unlock on walk away. Maybe that's why it doesn't honk? I didn't completely deactivate CA tho

Yes same with me - unlock on approach. But disabled lock when walking away. No honking.
