No data transmission
Hi guys, today I have a new problem with iDrive 9.
Data doesn't work and I can't see traffic in my route. As you can see from pic attached there are two symbols in red circles that are clear: no data transmission. I tried to reboot 2 times the iDrive system (press and hold volume button 30 seconds), but nothing changed. Can you help me? ![]() |

I had this exact problem a few weeks back....the connection was super flaky every day but eventually just became ok. I don't think there is anything you can do about it as I think the problem is server side

Today I called BMW assistance from idrive icon and they told me to press SOS button to check connection. SOS call was successful, I spoke with a guy in alarm central and told him it was a test made with assistance. So the car transmission is ok, but I can't use connected drive store, traffic information, POI search and weather. Hope to see that it works again. |

UPDATE!!!
Looking around on google, I found a forum where an iX possessor had a similar problem. I found also that there are 2 different reboot, the soft reboot and the hard. Soft: press volume button on the central console for 30 seconds and the system will reboot. Hard: press volume button on the central console for 30 seconds (same as soft) but keep pressing it until the system reboot 2 times. My problem was solved using hard reboot. |
