So I'm still deciding on my X1 between going M-Sport for the Portimao color or the standard X1 with the Phytonic blue. I wish the Portimao color was easier to get in the standard version but it costs about $3000 for a custom color job.

I see the grilles are different for them - silver for the standard and black for the M-Sport. I think I prefer the silver but wanted to know what others think about the two grilles...

Not sure if the same applies in the US, but in Europe you can get the silver grille on the M Sport too.

You get the Chrome 'look' grill in the US by default on the M-Sport extra packs might remove it however. Add the M-Sport pro package I think adds the black grill.

For us with the Portimao and the chrome grill it looked the best or at least for my wife anyway she preferred it. Other prefer other options go with what you want to look at the most.

You need to buy the Extended Shadowline Pkg to get a black grille in MSport trim; the silver grille is still standard on MSport.

Oh I see - it's optional. Hmm I'm leaning towards the chrome look with Portimao but also considering the black.

I prefer the chrome, even with black side trim, with darker paint, pops, and ties in with alloys.
