Traffic Sign Recognition Stopped Working (Camera Broken)

Since today the Traffic Sign Recognition in my iX1 stopped working. It only shows "limit" all the time. It gives the error about "traffic light recognition" (which also is not working) but obviously this is the camera under the windshield for both functions. While doing a reset if iDrive 9 sometimes it also says "camera broken". Car only has 1500km on it

Windshield is clean, tried a few resets and I waited a few hours. Next possible service appointment is in 2 weeks.

I'm wondering if anyone else had this issue and indeed the camera is already broken after 1 month?

Is there some fuse I can pull as a last resort or some deeper reset I can try?

Holy smokes, I just posted this. The exact same thing just happened to me today too. I don't get the camera error but it just shows limit for me too (2024 X1 ID9)

Feels like a software issue....

I have no idea if this is related or not, but it kept showing 5mph speed limit on my screen. It lasted a couple of hours and then went away. AFAIK, there are no 5mph speed limit signs anywhere near me, not even in a parking lot. Perhaps a bug is causing the system to display faulty info? I've included a pic from the screen showing "5mph"

I have a similar issue.

When I drive off, there is now a "limit" white rectangle (US Model) instead of a speed limit.

When the car crosses an actual speed limit sign though, it is read normally and everything is fine moving forward.

I assume this is a maps app update that went through and messed it up.

I agree with the maps update. Today it's working fine so I wonder if they pushed another update...

Seems to be working again here too. Have a longer drive later today, will check if it picks up other signs and traffic lights again...

Would help is BMW would just vaak this a technical error in their iDrive instead of immediately saying my camera is broken 👀
