My BMW ate my G Shock... what next?

I was pulling the valve cover on my 335i and I scraped my G Shock DW5600E on something. After I was done I noticed some deep scratches in the bezel. Whatever, not a big deal. But a few days later, I notice the bezel is actually torn. I've ordered a replacement bezel, but I'm wondering if I should retire my 11 year old Casio from daily driver duties. This watch was $45 when it was new. I could buy the made-in-Japan variant for around $300. That would come with solar power and radio based timekeeping, two things which my current watch lacks. I could buy an identical DW5600E for around $75. Thoughts? The fact that the watch came out in 1996 (and was based on one from the 80s) and has not been visually updated is a huge plus for me. I really don't like modern looking watches, and I think a square G Shock is about as timeless as a very tough digital watch can get. I'm open to mechanical or automatic alternatives; no quartz analog. For sure they won't be as tough but as long as it's tough enough that I don't have to give it any special care, outside of maintenance, I'll be happy. I don't want to feel the need to take the watch off in the ocean, working on my car, whitewater rafting, whatever. Price wise I'd like to keep it below $500.

Why re-invent the wheel? Buy another!

a tough solar atomic 5610 is $103 on Amazon...

It's just so convenient to have a watch that sets itself and is always on time. https://www.amazon.com/Casio-G-Shock...3905047&sr=8-4

Lol I ended up going one better... I spent $10 on a new bezel, and kind of lost interest in shopping for a replacement when I started wearing it again. Why reinvent the wheel indeed haha
