iX1 - Parking long period in hot weather

Is it safe to park in a sunny spot for a few weeks during hot weather?

I read about a system called BMS (battery management system) that protects battery from severe conditions but I couldnt validate if iX1 has it. Or maybe its called differently in BMW.

But I know it is not the anticipatory thermal management system because it is another thing which prepares battery for a fast charge.

So should I be concerned?

Thanks.

I wouldn’t be concerned about the battery. I’d mostly be concerned about the interior of the car if it’s sitting for weeks in hot temps.

I had a Renault Captur where the whole interior on the front "unclipped" itself while the car was sitting in the Disney (Paris) parking lot for a few days in 30°C weather... that was a fun call to roadside assistance 😂

Would recommend to put it in the shades and/or put one those aluminium de lector on the outside of the windshield.

About the battery overheating: read the manual, I'm not going to spoil it, but if you ever get that warning RUN.
