Terrain View is under Live Vehicle

After the 07/2024 update here in the USA, I was unable to locate the Terrain View. I thought it might be a future add-on feature in the Connected Drive Store. Initially, I tried the Park Assist key button, reasoning that it should be under the Park Assist key since that’s where the Trailer hitch view, Car wash view, etc. are located. However, I couldn’t find it there. Today, while browsing around, I discovered that the Terrain View is actually located under Live Vehicle.

I’ve had a look whilst dropping my son off at school, it’s not a thing in my car under live vehicle.

Maybe I don’t have the hardware or something.

I'm guessing this is another one of those features only available on idrive9? (not the old idrive8)

I also don't have terrain view... (ID8 and x-drive in Europe).

X drive and not showing for me. Car was delivered in July so relatively recent build. I also don’t have My Mode Silent mode. I do have the g meter option in central display. I also have the option to subscribe to Parking Assistant Professional. It is a company lease car so the supplying dealership is 200 miles away. I have emailed the contact there but no reply yet.

Mine was delivered April this year. I have silent mode and the G meter, this is even more pointless than the terrain view however I’d rather see terrain view to see what the drive train is doing (purely out of curiosity) then a G meter, who’s going to track an X1?

If the wheels aren’t gripping, surely you’d know 😉

It took 3 weeks after I upgraded to 07/2024 for the Live Vehicle to finally show the option... Same for the Silent Mode.
I had almost given up :-)
I have the s20i FWD Digital Premium.

last year, I finally got the courage to drive my X1(xDrive28i, US version) like an idiot at a local track. My friend who was behind me in his Camaro told me that he saw my right rear wheel(and sometimes left rear wheel) lifted off the ground during cornering. Did not know that I effectively made my X1 a tricycle. By the way, I highly recommend against doing this. It almost made me feel like my X1 was about to roll over, even at only 35mph to 45mph. The tires also complained loudly.

Very common to pick up the inside rear wheel on hard cornering on many vehicles depending on the suspension setup. All my previous VW's have done it at SCCA, my friend's e30 and e36 M3 does it as well. Definitely a disconcerting feeling in an SUV though lol.
