Hi

I got new winter tires for the first time on my new iX1, and it has over 3 bar of pressure on all wheels. Has been done by a company specialist in tires. Is this normal?? As recommended is 2.4/2.5 bar.

Dear lord that’s way too high. You’ll kill the tread in the middle of the tires.

3.1 bars = 46psi

that's indeed a little high.

for 225/55R18, BMW recommends 2.7 bars (39psi) if the X1 is fully loaded with 5 people and luggage. for normal everyday driving, it's 2.4 and 2.2. (35psi and 32psi)

You must be bouncing all over the place on even the best maintained roads with those settings. Way to high.
