Tires pressure over 3 bar, is OK??
Hi
I got new winter tires for the first time on my new iX1, and it has over 3 bar of pressure on all wheels. Has been done by a company specialist in tires. Is this normal?? As recommended is 2.4/2.5 bar. Tires: 225/55 r18 102h Thanks a lot! |

Dear lord that’s way too high. You’ll kill the tread in the middle of the tires.

3.1 bars = 46psi
that's indeed a little high. for 225/55R18, BMW recommends 2.7 bars (39psi) if the X1 is fully loaded with 5 people and luggage. for normal everyday driving, it's 2.4 and 2.2. (35psi and 32psi) |

You must be bouncing all over the place on even the best maintained roads with those settings. Way to high.
