are there U.S. X1 owners who are still waiting for the brake recall?

are there X1 owners who are still waiting for the brake recall? (specifically, X1 owners in the U.S.)

it seems like quite a few people still got the dreaded "no remedy" response from BMW USA or their BMW dealers.

Mine was done to my X1 a couple of months ago. Can't really tell what's different, but I guess if my X1 can brake normally, I don't need to worry anymore?

@snowcover you were already driving the car and brought it in for repair? I did not think that any drivers were getting repairs yet.

when they called me to do the brake recall a couple of months ago, my '23 X1 was already more than a year old with about 10,000 miles.

Just make sure that your VIN does not show the IBS recall anymore.

I had the IBS repair done middle of August, and they had to redo it in September because the part they used in August turned out to also be under IBS recall.

When BMW first announced the recall last February, they thought that from that point on the new IBS parts would be problem free. That turned out not to be the case for some of those parts. So BMW had to extend the original recall to many more cars (1.5. million total) last August

Yes. My car was in for regular service this week, and for the transmission recall, but they could not perform the brake recall service yet.

Currently the parts that are available are being allocated to new vehicle sales (it's a stop delivery) and vehicles that are showing a message saying that the brakes are failing.

ironic... because as of last week, the service advisor was still telling me that my X1 was still on hold for the DCT recall repair.(along with lots of their other customers)
