2025 X1 Recall

Sounds like it may be due to a supplier quality issue. Surely the design specs didn't change from the 2023/2024 models.

Ah, what is this? My X1 M35i is "at the port" and I am not sure exactly when its production date was. I hope this means it won't be shipped to my dealer and then kept from being delivered due to a problem. The end date of the problem production was 10/22. I hardly want my new car to be torn apart and fixed before I even get it. That cannot bode well.

use the "F12 method" on my garage to see the actual prod date. https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2016591

Well, since you knew about the F12 trick, and perhaps I didn't notice it, but is the ship name and expected date of arrival also available there? As far as I know, the "at the port" stage also includes the trip over to the US.

To be honest, my sales guy was expecting a much longer OTD time than what I've seen. My 330 took months, of course that came from South Africa I think, but this X1 has been weeks, and not that many so far.

Thanks

once the status changes from at the port to in transit you can ask your dealer or BMW genius for the ship name... I emailed bmwgenius@bmwusa.com with the VINs and got a response the next day
