Just wanted to know what is the improvement on that code train, couldn’t find any Release Note regarding that new code.

I got this code after the visit for 20k car service last Friday and SC upgraded the code to 11/2024.30

Hi Brandon, Can you clarify if the “Auto Start/Stop” button can be set to ALWAYS turn ASS off in the 11/2024 update?

Is it just an additional way to temporarily turn it off for the one drive?

It doesn't survive a restart. Additional hardware required unfortunately.

For now. Complain about CarPlay - stability with it is what the service reps are trained on with this update.

Got the update today in the UK, ID8, downloaded it to install interested to see if it fixes the auto handbrake and scheduled charging issued.

I got the iD9 update in France from the MyBMW app first then I connected to the vehicle with Bluetooth and WIFI turned on. It took about 20mn to upload from my iPhone to the car and then another 20mn for the car to proceed with the install. I got a notification on my phone when the update was complete.

Don’t think update has come to the USA by OTA yet. Like the 7/2024 OTA update, it was available in Europe, then Canada a month or 2 before OTA within the USA.

I did hear however, some dealers might be willing to install it if vehicle is scheduled for other services. Later this month I’m bringing my 2024 in for my 1 year maintenance & I plan to ask if it’s available.

UPDATE 12/10/24- just received notice on MyBMW app that I the update is ready & can download to it. Just completed that step & will start process for installation to my x1 later to see if I can notice changes in the ID9. 🤞

If you’re on ID9 the addition of the auto start/stop button on the shortcuts page would be quite a good improvement?
