Hello,

anyone as the option parking assistant professionnal on is X1 M35.

I have order (Europe) this week an X1M35 but i was just possible to take the parking assistant plus.

My understanding is (UK spec anyway) that the Parking Assistant Professional is a software/subscription option if not purchased outright at time of build, and is dependent on the vehicle having the Tech Plus Pack (7EW) added at time of build.

Parking Assistant Pro just adds extra features to Parking Assistant Plus, mainly the ability to control the parking remotely using the app. With some models you can specify it using the configurator, which is a bit cheaper than adding it as a lifetime subscription after the car is built. But I don’t think it’s in the configurator for all models in all markets.

But it totally replies on having Parking Assistant Plus built into the car.

The requirements for Parking Assistant Professional on the X1 (U11) & X2 (U10) are:
- Production from 03/2024
- Equipment: 5DN (Parking Assistant Plus) & 322 (comfort access)
- Software version: 07/2024
- BEV, PHEV or petrol/diesel with 48 Mild Hybrid.

Unfortunately it’s not available for petrol only M35i models.

How about for diesel models? I have all the above but it’s an older build from 07/2023. Astonished that it’s not enabled for my 23d.

I've edited above to clarify it's available for 'petrol/diesel with 48 Mild Hybrid' models.

However, since yours is production before 03/2024, it won't be available.

My 04/24 doesn't have it, but I noticed a further post said it wasn't available on the M35i, so that may explain that.

Does anyone know what changed from
03/2024 that means Parking Pro is available. Ie if I have all the other required options could this be enabled at some point in the future for pre-03/2024 or was there some hardware change at this point.

I have the x23D in Europe (M Sport fully loaded - everything beside ceramic brakes) and it has only parking assistant plus. No way to purchase Pro from store. In fact the only thing that I can purchase from the online store is Digital Premium.

Parking Assistant Professional offers practical automatic functions in addition to the cameras and sensors of the Parking Assistant and Parking Assistant Plus.

Remote-controlled parking allows you to operate your BMW from a distance of up to 6 metres. Using the My BMW app on a compatible smartphone, it automatically enters and exits tight parking spaces, while you simply watch. In addition to the lines on the road surface, it also automatically recognises kerbs and aligns itself with them, allowing you to use parking spaces that would otherwise be too narrow to get out of the car.

In addition, the manoeuvring assistant can perform up to ten recurring parking manoeuvres over a total distance of up to 600 metres. This is a practical solution for parking at work or at home. To do this, you first have to drive into the space yourself and save the manoeuvre. The saved manoeuvre can then be activated at the touch of a button. Your BMW will then semi-automatically drive into the saved parking space. If you wish, you can also monitor this process remotely on your smartphone.

Reversing in tight streets and exits is taken over by the reversing assistant. It remembers the route you have previously driven forward up to 200 m, and then your BMW can return along the previously saved route.

Remote-controlled parking is only compatible with selected smartphones.
