You would have to ask someone in your area. Here we have Carl's, Modernage, City Furniture, Baer's, and Rooms 2 Go which are all about the same price and quality, a step below places like Thomasville and Ethan Allen. I don't know if any of those are up north though because when I lived in CT I don't remember seeing any of them.

Don't know if you have one in your area but I like looking at the Macy's Warehouse store. They send all their returns and floor models there and at least in this area that usually means it's in pretty good shape and they're still highly discounted.

Like Nikki said, each area has different options.
Also, what's your furniture style? I'm guessing since you mentioned Ikea, you're into more modern and contemporary items?
What about Design Within Reach, Crate & Barrel, Eurway, Tema?

What items are you looking for?

City Furniture/Rooms To Go...if you want quality furniture at discounted price make a trip down to NC they will deliver it in 6-8 weeks and you can get quality names like Tommy Bahama at a fraction of the cost..Ive used Rose Furniture quite a few times very satisfied and if you know what your looking for they will email you back and fourth with pictures and prices

Eurway is good. My friend bought furniture from there. Another good option is to get in touch with a Chinese wholesaler. China produces various qualities of furniture (or anything for that matter), and you can get it from poor quality to excellent quality, just depends on how much you're willing to spend. Excellent quality will still be a lot cheaper than the big name places. I don't speak from personal experience, but from a number of various friends that have done this for both commercial and home furniture. I would suggest going to your local wholesale area (in Houston, we have an area called Hillcroft), and take a look. There was a store in Houston called Lifestyles, they sold ultra modern, ultra cool furniture. Too bad, after a few years, the guy collected money and never delivered... but it was really cheap while it lasted. And good stuff.
