What does "Uni" mean in a paint color
Stupid newbie question, perhaps, but "metallic" is obvious and "frozen" is easy enough to figure out when you look at a couple of examples, but many BMW paint colors are described as "uni."
What does "uni" stand for/mean? Is it just the same as a metallic, but without the metal flakes, or is there something else about the finish/gloss/depth that is specific to "uni" paint colors? |

"In the context of paint colors, "Uni" is often an abbreviation for "Uniform" or "Universal". It typically indicates that the color is a solid, uniform hue without any additional effects or finishes, such as metallic or pearl. In other words, a Uni paint color is usually a flat, single-stage color with no extra additives or special effects." -AI
