Using map input instead of street address in 8.5

I'd like to set my "work" default using map input instead of a street address, as this allows me to define it as the entrance to my parking garage in an alley, which does not have a street address. Waze allows this, but the BMW navigation software seems to require a street address, at least in 8.5.

Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. If anyone knows how to use the map instead to do this, please tell me how. Thanks!

Checked my M8's navigation manual.

Found this:

The options available for entering data depend on the navigation data and the country and language settings.

Found nothing on how to enter a location using GPS coordinates.

However, you might be able to with the car at the desired location save the location as a destination. I'm not at my car so I can't try this right now.

If you haven't done this already consider downloading the Navigation/Communication/Entertainment manual for your car.

Go to: https://www.bmwusa.com/

Select Owners.

Select Owner's Manual. With your car's VIN you should be able to see and download digital copies of all the manuals.
