Could the refinement approach a level that a Mazdaspeed version be a 135i fighter?

I don't see why not .. coming from the larger mazdaspeed 6 and knowing what it could do .. if it was AWD (like the 6 is), I don't see why it couldn't be competition in performance ..

Very true. If the current speed3 was awd, it would be a much better car. Despite having great numbers/performance for money, torque steer in that car is awful. We'll see what they do with the new one.

An AWD Mazdaspeed 3 would be a first attempt at unseating the EVO and STi. You do not get cars like that "right" on the first attempt. I'd like to see another player in the field though.
