HELP! -40F! Changed Exhaust/Down Pipes

Finally did the Riss Racing catless down pipes and the Britalman Exhaust. The car sounds like a an angry, fire-breathing dragon!!!

Problem, though. First, I haven't installed an O2 Sim yet. Should be here tomorrow.

Second, I got a check engine light, and the outside temp is stuck at MINUS 40 degrees F. Other than that, everything seems fine.

Look at the pic and tell me what you think and what to do?

It is 85 degrees outside.

ah i see... you only said downpipes and exhaust so that threw me off.. the outside temp sensor is behind the front bumper. i forget the exact location, but i would guess it is somewhere in the area of the kidney grills/intercooler. im willing to bet you left it unplugged.

That's got to be it. If someone can tell me where it is, I'll check it.

Okay so long story short, the sensor had been disconnected from the car and was still attached to a part of some paneling that had to be cut out to make space for the intercooler!

It had already been placed in the trash at the shop, and this 16-year old kid (son of the shop owner) said, "hey dad, maybe it was thrown out with some of the scrap."

Sure enough. Went through some junk and there it was. Hooked it back up, found a new place to mount it, and I'm good to go!

So if anyone is every showing -40F, it's the temp sensor.

I think I have a similar problem. I was driving the other day and noticed my temperature gauge had dropped to -30 C. This is after I got a snowflake error code. When I went out to look I saw smoke billowing out of my exhaust and I immediately felt a stinging sensation on my skin.

Does anyone know what could be wrong?
