UK 7 MEET...thank you all and I got some problem NOW!...

was great meeting all of you who came down today!!!...I do apologise, didn't get the chance to come and introduce myself to all of you guys...was just looking at the cars!!!....seen a few aero front lip!!!....lookin sweet...

I got a problem now, warning light came on when I was on my way home...

I think its the exterior light warning....something about lightbulb failure?! according to the handbook I have to get the "exterior" light bulb failure checked....

the symbol is a "sunshine" sign....but i've checked...all my lights seem to be working fine?!...I believe e92fan...(I think thats hes forum name, the one with the aftermarket brakes and apparently the fastest 335 at the meet today! thats what he told me! lol ) was adjusting my automatic daylight for the picture.....would that be it?....

and also, I got a crack on my windscreen today ....must be the fast car in front me!!!!.....

will need to get insurance to sort this out....

other than that, it was a great meet today....THE ROUTE chosen by Carlos was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....I love cambridge!!!....or wherever we were driving!!!.....

some of these cars today were damn fast!!!!

and I couldn't catch up on the M25.....I don't think you guys were waiting for me, (stop lying James!!! lol)

I think one of you guys got a puncture....hope u get it sorted mate....that nail looks nasty!!!....

and guys, please make sure if you post any videos, its a decent one....Carlos is pretty strict about this....and me aswell!!!.....so privacy is crucial!!!....

LATERZ...

Hi Kevin, glad you and Andy had a great time. LOoking forward already to the next one.

The bulb error code is something that our cars suffer, the car will need re-coding under warranty mate.

We went back to the hotel and got ready for the meal in the evening buddy. The Pod was good fun while it lasted but not a day for quick impressive times. I only managed 3 runs and then it down poured. There was also a hefty Head wind slowing us all down. The big suprise for me was Pauls 320d which did a 15.3!!

CHeers buddy also

Take the lamp holder from both sides of the rear taillights out. Remove and replace the lamps. There's an issue with the lamp connections. If reseating the lamps doesn't work try the dealer. Hope it's still under warranty.

The problem with the light cluster showing up a failed bulb when everything is ok is down to two possible faults, both known to the BMW dealer network under PUMA cases..

The first issue could be a dodgy control module in the front driver's foot well - this module controls the rear lights amongst other things. This will be a warranty issue.

The other problem could be the light clusters themselves - they have a manufacturing fault in some cases where the contacts start arcing, causing a short and leading to this bulb failure code on the IDrive. Again, this is a known problem and will be replaced under warranty. You can tell if it's the light clusters by looking at the bulbs there themselves - if some have started to turn slightly black, the contacts are arcing and you need new clusters.
