same here, just got an email from them telling me their rate dropped. Time to ditch it and go somewhere else.

GMACs giving 2.65%. My CD there is going to mature (3.75% 6mo., should've done a year!) and I'll probably just transfer my money there since their savings rate is higher than their CD rates right now.

OP I was frustrated too when mine went from 4 to 2.5%! But not surprised in this interest rate environment. To be expected. When I checked last week. The highest APR for a HYSA was 2.85% from internet bank in San Diego. Just make sure its FDIC insured!

i stopped bothering with finding high APY banks. even if you have $10k-$20k, it comes out to be pocket change after taxes. now i'm just happy having my money in a bank that's safe.

According to my dad there are CDs available with higher (relatively speaking) percentage yields. However, it has to be a 6-figure amount or greater.
Sorry I have no specifics, so speak to broker if all else fails. |

3.3% guaranteed for two years. Fixed annuity. Two year walk-away.

Actually, I've been looking for another bank as well. You think going from 4% to 1.85% is bad? My HYIC account went from 2.XX% all the way down to 0.05%. The interest I make isn't enough to wipe my arse with anymore.
I can't use CDs, as I need access to my funds for other investments, and I typically exceed transaction limits imposed on savings accounts.
