Auto-X again at Bank Atlantic Center - 04/12
So i will be running my 335i on April 12th at the Bank Atlantic Center in the Sawgrass/Sunrise area. Anyone else down to run?
Its a hell of a lot of fun and for the broward peeps its right around the corner so i definetly suggest trying it for noobs and those with previous auto-x experience. Porsche Club of America is hosting and they only allow 40 non-porsche cars to register in X-Class, its $40 bucks, you get 8 runs and each run is about 1 min. They do have loaner helmets for anyone that doesn't have. Definetly get more bang for the buck than going to PBIR or County line. you can register at www.driverregistration.com. I'm in no way affiliated with PCA except that I attend their events and enjoy auto-xing a lot! Just want to see some other fellow enthusiasts from the BMW community out there, especially e92's -Sid |

That sounds like fun, I have never done auto-X before but I would like to try it. Would this event be good for a beginner? Also, would you know how much the helmet rentals are?

helmet rentals are free, and they are excelent for beginners b/c you have the option of taking an instructer with you the first time on any number of laps you want... take them for just the first run or all 8...

yea, basically like going to the drag strip and getting 8 runs down the 1/4, you get 8 laps. They are not back to back however, u run one lap then get in the back of the line for your class and run again when u're up. they have you run twice, once in the morning once in the afternoon. in between you do have to work also. Work means when another group is running u're out on the course calling in anyone that hits a cone or goes of course b/c they get penalized.
