New tires for the summer
I finally am gonna get rid of the stupid run flats that I have (thank god).
I'm looking at Toyo T1R's or PS2's. I believe there is a rebate on the Toyo's. Steelcase sells the T1R's for $1420.00 inclusive. 265 30 19 235 35 19 Does anyone have any recommendations on deals or tips? Any comments would be appreciated. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/images/tyres/t1r.jpg |

Dan,
I recently got some goodyear F1 asymmetrics.. so far they're great, it's just too cold to really push them. Side wall seems stiff and they hold a line well. Also very smooth and pretty quite on the highway. A set should run you about $1500 locally. Check out the reviews on tirerack.com and in the wheel/tire forum section. Many saying they're on par with PS2's for a few hundred less. Defeintly consider these. Dave |

T1Rs are good tires.... i would go with PS2s over the toyos if money was no concern... i've hard that the toyos are slightly noisier at higher speeds ...nevertheless, the t1r is a great tire and good value for money.
i am using PZero Neros right now and they're great too... so another alternative to consider... also they are cheaper than PS2s

I had T1R's back on my rsx... they were good however I found them pretty 'slippery' after they had warmed up a bit. They were excellent in wet conditions though. I might either end up getting pzero neros, ps2's or ultimately another set of RE050a RFT's (in which that case I would only need the rear two tires 255/30/19). Perhaps we can get a groupbuy on rubber

Dunlop Direzza Star Spec is pretty much a Bridgestone RE01R and Advan AD07 level Max summer tire...
