anyone own a tablet PC?
Hey guys, in the market for a tablet PC, looking at the fujitsu T5010 - 13.3" display, 2.4ghz dual cores,2gb ram, 250gb hdd. Supposedly one of the best on the market.
Wanted to know if anyone owns one and what they think is good/bad ? Also, anyone have any hookups? Always appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Thought I'd use my Lenovo X61T a lot in practice and in client meetings.
Novelty of tablet format wore off after the first week. Never use it in tablet form. Probably should have just gotten a T series. |

Ah, well I take alot of notes in class, and the graphs are the troubling part. One note is so organized, and if I had a tablet, note taking would just be complete.

my dad has that computer i think..but its maxed out (4gb ram etc)
He uses it for work bc he has alot of patients and his signature is required for many things... He loves it...I played with it for awhile and its a nice laptop. I'd also look into the new dell tablets if i was you, his partner got one and it looks cooler lol

I own a Dell XPS 1330. If you know where to look a loaded one can be had for 1200 out the door. I got mine through a corporate discount, and a computer program through costco.

Get the HP TX2 - much superior in every way.
And also is a regular touchscreen (a la iPhone) so you can use your fingers for most jobs and not the stylus. |

Do you really really need the tablet part? You can't type notes faster than you hand write on a screen?
I've supported computers at a few different companies. All of them have tried tablets because this guy or that guy thought they would be cool... after a month or two of use nobody uses them anymore because they have so many problems. Especially the Fujitsu brand ones. Not sure if the Lenovo models would be any better. I would definitely suggest getting a good laptop rather than a tablet if you can make it work. There are plenty of kickass laptops out there. |
