35 pounds later....a new life....Come inside.Get motivated
hey folks, i dont know if all of you have been following my threads but one day after a trip to vegas i was so disgusted of my body, when i got back Monday cold turkey i went on a diet. Let me give a little history about my self, im 21 years old, 3 years ago i was 185 pounds and in amazing shape. i'm 6 feet tall.
So let me begin by saying exactly 2 years ago before i got a g/f i was 222 pounds and the whole thing made me gain another 24 pounds. So after getting rid of her i decided the weight needed to go also. It was kind of easy for me because my very good friend is so into this stuff he educated me and slowly i started to learn more and more. Just like all diet-ers after only 9 pounds of lose i gave up, like a little pussy and couldnt do it. It was hard and my other friends were not a good motivation with all the late night food they would eat lol. So fast forward to Jan 26th, at 237 pounds, i felt the disgust again. This mainly came after looking at pictures of me at trips 3 years ago and the body i had! So jan 26th i remember something that happened to me(personal) in 2008 on Jan 26th and it made me sooooooo mad. I made a pact with my good friend that morning that my diet begins again!!!! Keep in mind this time around i was very fucking educated about the foods, cardio, and such to achieve my goal. I set my Goal at 199.99999999 pounds, a 46+ pound wieght lose, 161,000 calorie deificit diet! Anyways i got my membership back at the gym and put my head toward it...and i decided to get my body back for summer Boy oh Boy this time around i went 100% motivated and so educated into the diet that after one week i was about to quit. I ate all the right foods at the right times in the right portions. Thank god my friend didnt let me quit, after 2 weeks i lost 8 pounds, and i started noticing a difference!! Such a nice feeling! Eventhough all the haters said it was mainly water loss and im done, i was set to prove everyone wrong. So i put the quitting behind me and decided to go 150%!!! Guys it was so hard after 2 weeks i didnt even go out with one girl for dinner or lunch or anything!!!! Only coffee, dark black coffee with nothing in it, i was so affriad it would make me give up because of the good food.....I started to discipline myself, that i didnt even know how good fast food tasted or craved it. So after weeks and weeks of dieting, i have so far lose a total of 34 pounds, IT HAS BEEN SO FUCKING WORTH IT, THAT IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY THINKING ABOUT IT. This Saturday for the first time in a while i went and bought 3 pairs of amazing jeans 2 waist sizes small, so when i lose the 12 pounds itll fit me perfect!!! Its just sitting in my closet waiting for the weight to come off!!! I cant wait!!! i cant believe im almost there i got another 12 pounds to go!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOOO. I dont think this part should be to hard, im shooting Guys im at work i will add more once i get home, however anyone and i mean anyone need any help losing weight...DO ITTTTTTTT i will help you i can write you a diet plan cardio plan whatever you need im here to help. I guarantee it will turn you into a different person. You will be more displined towards everything, have more energy, higher self esteem, look nice and be healthy!!!!! I hope my little story motivates some people to do it. |

Congrats .....Be careful of heavy dieting like this without a proper exercise routine. You can never substitute "breaking a good sweat" with any kind of diet

wow thats insane I'm happy for you man.. I lost 25 pounds ever since September '08 but I don't watch my diet as much as you. Quick question.. how the fuck do you lose the fat around your belly? It looks so retarded, I have a 6 pick, the top 4 are perfectly carved out but there is a pack of fat on the bottom two and they don't show at all. I developed that gut last summer from eating fast food 6 times a week and I havn't lost it since
Any advice? |

I kid Sit ups galore and leg raises. You need to find the exercise that concentrates on the lower abs. Most only get the upper half. This is a good read. I like that you lost so much in such a short time. It gives me hope that I can keep my semi decent pace and get down to 205-210 by end of April. I'm 6'3'' and 225 currently. Dropped from 235 over the last 4 weeks. I don't feel the need to get below 200 as I think I'll look too skinny with my taller frame. I had a slight hold up cuz my wife is a lazy ass and got me sick. I def need to add more cardio. I'm solid on the lifting but when it comes to the jogging not so much I would love to get the Gerard Butler look from 300 but I don't have 8 hours a day with a trainer and a home chef to get like that

You cant spot-reduce fat. All the ab work in the world isnt going to affect your bodyfat level. The only thing you can do is diet more. The abdomen is the trouble spot for men, the ass and legs are trouble spots for women, meaning this is the first place to accumulate fat and the last place to leave it. If youre lean enough already, yohimbine hcl + 200mg caffeine + fasted intervals can help mobilize stubborn ab fat in men. Worth looking into. Also the part about 'most' ab movements 'only get the upper half' is retarded. No ab movement will recruit only the upper abs. Thats not how it works. Thats alright, Gerard Butler didnt have the 'Gerard Butler look from 300.' Dramatic lighting and spray-on abs produce a nice effect though. |

wow that great man congrats, although i don't know what it feels like to LOSE weight i know how hard it is to gain a few pounds. i am 16, 165 lbs (or around their) 6'3-6'4(i know i am tall for my age). i am eating everything that gets in my way, school food, mcdonalds, in n out, at home. and i still can't gain a few pounds, i work out also, but the scale just doesn't seem to move. i got such a quick metabolism that even when i don't work out my abs it still looks like i have a 6 pack (visible 4). any advice for gaining weight ?

I'll toast to that, man. I went from size L/XL and 36 pants to size S and 30-31 pants. My dad recently sent me a picture of when I was over last summer and I can not believe how much different I look.
This forum has been a great help too, primary BoostedBMW. Thanks Mike! Now I'm working on the abs and being more defined all around. Waiting 2 more hrs before hitting the gym. |

I am in a similar situation, not as much to loose, but I am struggling with the diet. I frequent some of the ******* forums, but everyone there wants to be 'ronnie coleman'
PM me if anyone has the time for the best way to approach diet. I am lactose intolerant, idk if that has made any difference. OP...right on! These stories are always so motivating! GL with the rest of your goals...we still have time 'till summer! |

Not to steal the OP's thunder, but since it's already on my Facebook..
Exactly 6 months apart, Aug 24th and Feb 24th respectively. I had only started lifting on Jan 12th so most, if not all, of the difference is from eating clean (for the most part) and strength training. Since the picture on the right, I've gained a bit of definition. Lastly, this is just from changing my eating habit and working hard..no pills or supplements at all. Left side...210 lbs and right is ~155 lbs. I'm now thinking of training for the L.A. Marathon in 2010. |
