it was as expected but with only 1 actual race. There is no 1er in it. The e46 gets destroyed. I would say it is the most action packed one yet but with the least racing in it. All and all I liked it.

I heard it's about bunch of cool cars being driven very fast by cool and careless guys with mad driving skills ...Oops! I think I did spill the beans!

i just saw it and thought it was pretty good. Tokyo drift is still my favorite of the series though.
i second the comments about the lack of car content though. its more of a "movie which happens to have a few cars in it" that an actual "car movie" (and its not an e46, i think its supposed to be an old m5) |

It looked like the ugliest E39 M5 ever. An orange paint job with a carbon fiber trunk lid and hood. Plus the black guy was trippin me out. Goood movie overall

The movie actually made sense. I liked it and I say it's worth watching in the theaters.
About that M5.. it was so sad when the camera viewed the tach only to see the gauges were not the "M" gauges but the standard 5.

I stand corrected...I was in the front row since apparently everyone else in my town wanted to go to the midnight showing...the movie was mostly a blur sitting that close to the screen.

Saw it at midnight expecting the theater to be empty. I was wrong...
Anyways...it was entertaining at least. In parts of the movie it seemed to take itself too seriously whereas in others it seemed to poke fun at the stigma the series has created. I wish there was more driving and in the existing driving I wish there was less paint trading. Everybody is trying to smash the other off the road...the poor cars. Just have em racing, going fast!! In a refreshing twist there was far less NO2 use in the movie than one would expect. The one thing that bothers me about this movie and many other "car" movies is that the drivers can magically downshift and find some bottomless pit of power that they must have been saving. I mean, with this, who needs NOS? I would guess that at least half the cars in the movie were muscle cars. The lowest form of an import involved in a race was a Nissan 240 I believe. There was a brief shot of a Ford Escort RS200(I think) and an AE86 launching. Shoot me now but I agree that the "Tokyo Drift" installment was the best. This is assuming that none of us who see the movies see them for the story or the acting... Now the unavoidable part. I am 26 years old and utterly depresessed at the state of the youth. I was probably the 2nd oldest person there after only my brother who is 29. People trying to start fights, white guys dropping N bombs as if it were part of their regular vocabulary, big chains, gangsta wannabes, sideways hats...it was like an audition for a low budget rap video premiering on MTV...4. Now I feel old. Oh, did I mention I live in a SUBURB of Seattle? And of course everybody in their fart can Civic still feels the need to rev their engine - constantly, over and over again - like its the thing to do after the movie gets out. Be the stereotype! BE IT! Entertaining, not enough driving. <-----Probably should have limited the post to just that.
