Any suggestions on which car to get?
I'll try to keep this very simple and cliff notes
- crashed my e90 - broke my leg and now i'm scared to drive - luckily i purchased insurance that will pay me the full amount of a 2009 330i (even though i'm not sure how that works, the 330i discontinued) (50K CAD) - so now, which car to get? Before my accident i was kinda on the wait list for my GTR, which is around 100K CAD, but now i'm afraid i'll kill myself if i'm in a GTR. I can also just get the new 2009 335 probably without paying an extra penny... OR....i was thinking about the cayenne GTS, which is 91K CAD. The car is high enough to give me some confidence in driving again and it's a pretty decent looking porsche IMO. so...what do you guys think? |

Just wondering, how did you crash ur car? Was it due to lack of vision on the road? objects on the road? It'll give us a better idea on what car u should get

So you're scared of driving...but you're asking for which car will make you "less" scared of driving?? And they are all performance cars?
Are you OK in the head? |

Seems like you need to discipline yourself, not 'pick the right car'. I find it weird too that you would consider a car that's 50k and another that's 100k, which is 200% of the 50k price tag. Hopefully you won't have to budget too much to get the latter. I would get the GTR in a heartbeat, if you can afford the not so cheap maintenance. Oh and SUV = higher stance = higher chance of hydroplane. |

How about an S4? (" ...but that's an Audi!!") It's still pretty quick and you get the planted, in-control feel of AWD without footing the huge bill for the GTR, it's insurance premiums, and maintenance (like the $20K tranny)

If you consider a Porsche Cayenne GTS, why not an X5 xDrive48i? 75K CAD and the difference in performance does not justify the additional 16K IMO.

That's a very good suggestion....i've also considered the x5 also, but because i have a x5 4.4 in Hong Kong, i don't really want to buy another x5 in Canada, that's why...or else i would go with the x5 too, love the car...
