Honda Civic Hybrid Vs. Toyota Prius
ok so after looking into the possibilities for my mom's dedicated work car, we have narrowed it down to 2. we decided the honda fit is a nice car but the extra space is not needed as this car is just for work commute only (mainly highway). being said that the plan is to use this commuter car until my mom retires in 5-6 years so reliablity has to be there.
ive been doing much research between the 2 and it is so very hard. even in the test drive it is still a har decision , so i must ask the forum for help/opinion/experiences, etc. the honda civic hybrid will be the new body 06+ as well as the prius being a 06+, both certified preowned looking below 50k miles at 10-15k.

Neither. Get the new Insight:
http://www.edmunds.com/honda/insight...tactf341500jpg Starting price UNDER $20,000. Unless you really want to stick to the 10-15k range. I would probably go with the Civic. It drives more like a non-hybrid than the Prius, plus the Prius has crappy rear visibility from what I've heard.
