RS6 in US???
Do you guys have any idea if the new Audi RS6, especially avant, is coming to the United States any time soon???

According to the reviews when it came out the answer is that it's not coming here.

I would expect the RS6 to eventually make its way here, the Avant version is probably never going to come though. Very few people buy the RS cars already, and very few people even consider wagons in the US. The chances of seeing an RS wagon are pretty much non existent I would say.

I'm not sure if Audi see a market for RS models in the US, without a factory producing cars there they are having to pay an import duty that I believe neither BMW or Mercedes have to so they can't make their RS models competitive price wise or should I say won't do so and sell it for zero profit.
The rumour is that there won't be a saloon version of the next RS4, as the US are only interested in saloon versions that basically means Audi have ruled out that market and are only interested in the rest of the world. On a positive note the RS5 will reach the US, though it's price will mean only die-hard fans will pay it's premium over the competition. |
