YEAHHH New Puppy!!!
Her name is Morgan, she's technically a yellow lab but is referred to as "Fox Red" in color. We picked her up tonight at 6pm. She'll end up being much darker in color, more of a spiced red or amber color.
This is the breeder we got her from.... www.amberskylabradors.com her litter is from Cajun and Cherry Pop

Listen to him.
Besides we wanted a puppy and not some puppy mill deal. Just our preference. My buddy adopted a dog and it took him 4 years to get that dog to like people other than him. I was not interested in that kind of time frame. You can adopt all you want if you like.

That probably had more to do with the breed than how he got the dog though. Adopting a mature dog is a little risky, but you're not going to have issues like that with a puppy. Anyway, cute pup. Labs are great dogs. |

Go convince people to adopt who haven't just bought a puppy. Adopting isn't for everyone. Once again, learn when to keep your opinions to yourself. Quote:
Yes it does. The original idiot's post said "if you truly love dogs, you would adopt." hence the argument: If you truly loved kids you would adopt.

At least not in this country. |

The reason for having kids instead of adopting is because they will be carrying YOUR genes. That's what makes them YOUR kids. That's not the case no matter where you get the dog. |

Great pup! I just bought a shiba a few months back, but wanted a lab... Anyway, your pup is so damn cute!
As for all this adopting debacle -- I would have adopted, but all the dogs at the pound/shelter were old, ugly, and had bad tempers. I wanted a puppy of a specific breed and shelters just don't provide that type of convenience. |

Just curious why do you think you must adopt to truely love a dog? Is it because you have weak heart to see it put to sleep? Cause of the expense of breeders? I'm just curious.

Thanks for all the positive comments everyone.
As for adopting I have nothing wrong with that. As SE3P said we wanted a specific color of the Lab breed. Find me a shelter that has "fox red" lab puppies and I would have went and at least checked them out against the breeders. As for the amount of dogs that are in the APL and the amount being euthanized some people should be euthanized with those poor dogs. I'll def post more picks as she gets older. The breeder thinks she's going to mature into a nice amber red hue of color which we're very excited about. She's def. a head turner too, most people don't even recognize her as a lab off the bat due to her color.
