Will this work???

Will the sprint booster work with a remap or will it just overwrite it?? Just poped into my head to try for a little more power

Is that some sort of piggyback resistor thing from ebay? If so - keep it away from your car mate.

Or is it a tuning box?

It still wont work, but I dont know why - I would guess explosions, fire and carnage might occur...

A sprint booster only alters the signal from your accelerator pedal to give you more of a responsive feel. I suppose the equivalent of a sport button, that takes it from a progressive pedal to a constant.

I've got one on mine along with a remap so I can tell for certain that it works. Whether it's worth it just depends on how you want to drive. I've considered taking it off but I've grown kind of used to the response now.

ETA: And it sits behind the pedal, not in the ECU... unless your thinking of something else?

Its a psychological thing.

For information it literally "reels in" the fly by wire throttle. When your foot is 75% of the way down, the car thinks it is 100% of the way down. Beyond that point, accel in is pointless and makes no difference.

The advantage is that it makes you drive far more aggressively IE as if you were stamping on the floor the entire time. That is if you consider such things advantageous.

Its purely a psychological thing because you could do the same thing yourself by being heavier on the right foot, but a hell of alot of people swear by them..
