328xi DS mode
I did a test driving last weekend, and got such impressive by using "Drive Sport" mode. Does this "Drive Sport" mode come with the standard model or a part of sports package (since from BMW website, sports package does not mention it at all)?

The DS mode comes along when you select your transmission. It should give you options on the types of transmissions you can get.

Hi, jpsum
I also think so, but the confusion was the dealer did not mention it at the beginning, and after I asked "Does DS mode come with the standard model or a part of sports package?", his answer was "It is part of the sport package." :-(, of course, I should believe their professional, but just cannot find anything related with DS from sport package in BMW official website. Thanks! |

All E9X models have DS if you get a steptronic transmission.

No problem.
The difference is that the dealership is doing it for the money. Members here know more because they are passionate about there cars. I learned soo much since I joined e90post. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask (search first before you post, it will save you a lot ) |

All auto for the E90 comes with the Sport mode (DS), and if you add a bit more money, you can also get paddles on the steering wheel with the sport package if I remember correctly.

The sport package just adds the steering wheel paddles to the auto transmission, you still get the DS mode with the regular auto transmission without the sports package.

I think DS is just part of the automatic transmission, regardless of pedal shifters or not. Same thing with the Mini
