How much off MSRP can you get?
Looking to grab an 09 335xi coupe or sedan with M package and the aero kit.
MSRP is around 55800 for the sedan and about 58000 for the coupe. |

I'd shoot for at least 5-7% off, a friend got over 7% off an ordered 2009 335i coupe a few months back so that's probably where I would start. Even more if the car is in stock.

They make about 7-9% on top of invoice on a 335, so go based on that. Don't be unreasonable and expect them to take a loss, either.

very good choice with the car sir. Go with the coupe, and you'll never regret it. Regarding price, shoot for 7% off MSRP, and get them to throw in some free stuff. BMW new car sales down 40% in April so you (the customer) has the upper hand.

I went in to Budd's BMW and was briefly talking with a sales rep. He said they have a $2500 cash incentive, and they generally knock off about $1000 no problem. So thats about 6.5% right there.
But after everything is said and done, about $64,000.00(CAD) out the door. After all the mods and shit I want to do, Im up to about $70,000. Fuck I could probably snag a used Nissan GT-R close to that in a couple months. |

i don't really know how much of a good deal i got,
but i financed an '09 335xi w/ Nav + Audiophile + Executive for 1155 CAD a month for 60 months w/ zero down. that's roughly about 7% off the msrp and i didn't even try that hard to get them to go lower. after i signed everything i found out i could have gone lower. you can definitely get them down to 7 or maybe 8%. all of them say they only make about 9% profit on each car, but i think that's just a lie, they probably make about 10-15% (maybe even 20) on new cars. So, I checked with my dealer ... and without a lot of effort, and including the BMW Cash Credit, and Automatic rebate ... 9% off MSRP is the number.
So in 5 minutes of email, I got 9% ... So if someone is serious, it would definitely be more. |

I got 6500 off of my 08 335i last year with the cash incentive. So what is that? 10% 11%? My car was MSRPed at little more than 60k. The way I see it, Car shopping isn't like shopping in the mall, you gotta have that "You come to this number, then I sign my cheque now" attitude. Otherwise, SAs won't try too hard to get your attention. So ask yourself a question first. "Am I ready to buy today?" if the answer is yes. Then you're all set.
Shorter version - Give them a speech of "10~11% or I walk. Oh yeah, I brought my cheque book with me" It worked for a 23 year old youngster(me ). It should work for you too.

at year end we always have delivery credit on most of cars, but not in summer time.
if you ask 10%-11% than they will let u walk. 7% sounds ok as long as they have them in stock. |

Plus my car was "ORDERED" and was bulit in Feb too. Your advice is as good as any other SAs' which means it's useless.

If so, is there any way to get "cash credit" with leasing? From bmw.ca, there is something called single payment lease, will it be considered for cash credit?
Thanks~! |

I just got into a new lease for a 135i. I only had my 330i for 6 months, bot got bored of it. My buyout is at 25K on the 330. Maranello offered 20K for the car (which is a joke as the blackbook put the car at 22.5-23)
I went to Parkview and they managed to get 23K for the car, and added an extra 2K to get me out of it, plus another 1K off the MSRP...all in all 3K my way, which is about 7% off. I'm pretty happy. Now, if you're buying cash, you should be able to get quite a bit more off. A friend of mine picked up a 135 convert with msport, paddles, and premium i think for 42K. The car was listed at 51K and he got 9K off. I was talking to my friend at Parkview and he said he sold a 2008 135 a few weeks back with 11K off. |

Hey I must be talking to the wrong sales guy! went in yesterday to talk and the guy gave me a quote at full msrp, including charging me list for auto trans - which I later found out that its free right now! Is it because I wanted to lease the car? any recommendations on dealership/sales guy here in vancouver, or advice on what to hold out for is appreciated, thanks,
D. |
