Scholarship help, Out of state student with no help
I am an out of state student attending Penn State University. I have been informed that my scholarship may be revoked due to lack of funding. I am freaking out because I come from a poor family consisting of a terminally ill mother and a father with a history of brain tumors, both parents are on disability and are far from eligable to co-sign for private loans to compliment my FAFSA and I have no one else to help me. I worked so hard to get into this school and I am a 3 year Army veteran trying to become and Army Officer pending my graduation. I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding scholarships, and other options to help my situation. Any amount no matter how small will help. I have battled unfortunate circumstances all my life and if my mother dies soon I may have to raise my 5 year old brother on my own so I am doing my best to get school and everything else knocked out so I can get a job to be financially stable to handle the situation properly. I hate to put my self out like such but I have no options. Thanks in advance for the help and God Bless.

Have you talked to the school's financial aid department or any of the people from the scholarship fund to see if they can help? Also could the Army somehow help?

The Army are the ones cutting funding, I have not spoken to the school yet but I know my award will not be enough to cover necessary expenses. I need all the help I can get.

Speak to the school/FAFSA. I'm sure there are some grants you can get to help you get through school. Good Luck, let us know what happens.

Transfer to a smaller college that has ROTC. Doesn't matter one iota which college you get your commission from. It's not a Military Academy xxForgedxx.
