College Transfer Question
so im with my friend atm, just got blazed and i finished 15 cheeseburger and 2 sack fry from the white castle
so im debating with him about transfering colleges. currently hes attending a private college. he wants to stay at this college for 3 years and transfer to a better school like a state university and finish his 4th year there and graduate. he can't simply do this right, as he will lose alot of credits when transfering and will have to take classes over?

Well in California, Most colleges dont except "Senior Transfers". Most common is Junior transfer. Some offer Sophomore transfer. I had few friends transfer in with with over alot of credits (senior status as they went to multiple colleges), and were labeled as juniors again.

yeah he'll start at 60 credits again most if not all colleges only accept 60 credits for transfer students, so its basically a waste of time if he transfers now because he'll be a jr instead of a sr

its not really how many credits a school will transfer. It's usually how many credits are required "in-house" to graduate from that instituition. So u can technically transfer 500 credits but still have to do the required 60 - 75 in house credit to graduate.

even if it were possible, say if he were kicked out, he wouldn't necessarily lose all his credits. it would depend on which courses were transferable, there's usually a guideline in the admissions office. more than likely, he will not be accepted unless he has some financial reason or whatever...
