A deductible is the amount that you are responsible for when you make a claim. Let's say you have damage of $5000 and a deductible of $1000 then you pay $1000 and the insurance company pays $4000.

Holy Crap @ the insurance prices in ONT. Age certainly plays a role of course.
I'm 40, clean driving record, and pay 720/year for my 08 328xi ... Full coverage, $1,000,000 and $1k deductible. (That covers anyone in my household as occasional drivers, and me as the primary. We pay 680/year for my wife 09 X3 ... In New Brunswick ! |

Important to note: I have mine with Royal Bank (RBC)
I left the "private" insurance world when I realized what a HUGE premium I was paying, to fund the local brokers ... Hated to do it, but 3 cars & a house, I'm saving in excess of $1800.00 per year. It was a no brainer. |

State Farm was NOT cheaper than RBC ... I'm very happy with RBC .. They even paid (400.00) to have my new home assessed, which my other insurance guy didnt even bother to do. At least now I'm covered (well) for my house and contents ... Cars are a no brainer.

TD Meloche Monnex is the cheapest I have found, however, you have to be part of a group to get them. They are very good. When my house was broken into, I got cash for everything back no questions asked. They even waved me deducatable. Also try "The Personal" as they are good and cheap too.

+1 for TD Meloche Monnex. I pay 210 a month for 328i e90. I'm 28 years old, Toronto, 1 minor ticket and no previous insurance history. I also have my wife as a secondary driver . Other insurance companies quoted me 400+ a month.

OP, I would suggest you give bel air a call they are usually cheaper for younger drivers. They have the cheapest rate for me, I'm 21 registered owner and principal driver. They'll give you discounts for doing it online and for random things like having winter tires.
I would avoid intact (formally ING) for your age. As for deductibles go with 1000 collision 300 comp. I'd suggest 1m liability... If you need anymore help send me a PM.

Its about $40 extra monthly for 2 tickets but since i have no record of being insured, my quote was $480mnth vs $240 (with 12months insurance record) Go on the belairdirect site , check for the quote. https://www.belairdirect.com/indexon...gn=SEM_Ontario As I said, with my record I was quoted 450+ /month from belair, satefarm etc..
