mp3 CD & I Drive help

Hi guys, My vechile is 05 reg 320D with Idrive without CD changer, can not play MP3 CD before because the I drive is the oldest version...I think..., just got the system updated to the newest version (silver screen), but still can not read d mp3 CD, my mp3 file is CBR, 192k, 44.1KHZ, all the files in root. tried SONY and TDK with no luck any help????

I had similar issues with my 06 330i. After they updated the i/drive it works. I use itunes, 1X burn speed, sony music cds, 128-192k files, all on root. Looks like you are doing everything right. Just try itunes to burn your cd's.

Thanks for ur advice, just tried with Itunes with 1x speed, still can not read the disc, it is a sony 48X 700MB CD-R, any more help please?

Hmmm... You seem to be doing eveything correct. The discs I use are
Sony "CD-R Music" 80 Minute.

Are you making sure to finalize the disc? I've used an assortment of the cheapest of the cheap no-name CD-R's at 48x, to Verbatims, to Philips CD-RW's at 10x, sometimes the structure I use has folders in folders and everything works great.

Edit: I remember reading before that iDrive sometimes craps out if the disc has more than 60 or 70 songs in either the same folder or the root directory, not sure if that would make or break functionality in your car though.
