FOTA wants F1 in North America
FOTA is pushing to host a race in the United States, as the sport continues its second year of having no American Grand Prix on the calendar. According to FOTA, racing in the USA is 'absolutely crucial' for any World Championship.
Luca di Montezemolo has got good news for F1 fans in America: "As far as the tracks are concerned where the races are held, the historical ones have always had a great fascination; for Ferrari and for all the other teams it will be important to get back to North America."

I know it would NEVER happen. But how 'bout a combined weekend with IRL down in Long Beach. It could be a triple header weekend; F1, ALMS, and IRL.
A man can dream, can't he?

The problem F1 always faced, is North America is too large for 1 race. Hell, France is smaller than Texas. To really gain popularity and establish themselves I say we need 2 (if not 3) North American races. Montreal, Sebring, Laguna Seca.

Long Beach GP please!!!! I went to Montreal and it is a great place, but it is to far for us in SoCal. Laguna Seca would be awesome but there is not a major airport close enough for transportation.

San Jose Airport is about 75 miles from Laguna Seca. Not next door but close enough. San Fran airport is about another 40 miles on top of that.
