Formula 1 Ing Magyar Nagydij 2009
Finally, The Hungaroring is the last F1 race in 2009 to be boardcasted by FOX!!!!
Cannot wait till the proper live race to be back to SPEED. Be advised for North America viewers, this races will be DELAYED BOARDCAST on FOX. Speed channel will only provide live Friday Practice Session 2 and Qualifying. Last year Heikki luckily won the race with Massa blew its engine with three laps remaining. Will there be luck play into this weekend's race as the Hungaroring is famous for its narrow track and hard to overtake. Race Date: 26 Jul 2009 Number of Laps: 70 Circuit Length: 4.381 km Race Distance: 306.630 km Lap Record: 1:19.071 - M Schumacher (2004) Race Timetable (Local Time) Fri 24 July 2009 Friday Practice 1 10:00 - 11:30 Friday Practice 2 14:00 - 15:30 Sat 25 July 2009 Saturday Practice 11:00 - 12:00 Qualifying 14:00 Sun 26 July 2009 Race 14:00 Race Timetable (Pacific Time) Fri 24 July 2009 Friday Practice 1 01:00 - 02:30 Friday Practice 2 05:00 - 06:30 Sat 25 July 2009 Saturday Practice 02:00 - 03:00 Qualifying 05:00 Sun 26 July 2009 Race 05:00 (Race Program Starts 12:00 noon on FOX) Race Timetable (Eastern Time) Fri 24 July 2009 Friday Practice 1 04:00 - 05:30 Friday Practice 2 08:00 - 09:30 Sat 25 July 2009 Saturday Practice 05:00 - 06:00 Qualifying 08:00 Sun 26 July 2009 Race 08:00 (Check Local Listing for FOX Race Program)

At least they've got the proper analysts last year and this, and have stopped trying to make them "dumb it down" as much as prior years, but yeah - it sucks on Fox. The only upside is it may gather a few more fans to the sport, but not enough to make any real difference I'm afraid.
Bring on the Speed! |

Toro Rosso confirmed 19-year-old Jaime Alguersuari for Hungary. He will become the youngest F1 driver.

Weather forecast for Hungaroring:
Friday is expected to be the hottest day this year with temperatures expected to be in the low-to-mid-30s C. After that it will cool down but Sunday should still see high-20s C for the race. This is good news for Brawn, who struggled in cooler temperatures.

Red Bull's best friends right now are ferrari and Mclaren...
If they can continue to win, and hope that ferrari and Mclaren can start robbing points away from Brawn, then we might have a championship after all |

however...might be difficult for McLarens...since their chassis is known for easy lockups on braking and tire wear.....hopefully their aero upgrades shown in Germany can help with their pace....

Yes, last race with Fox...bad news...4 week break...again...I hope next season has a bit more continuity. Anyone know if Fox still has rights for 4 races? I don't mind the coverage as they have the boyz from Speed, but come on already with the tape delay. I get up at 3am to watch the indonesian races and can't wait for the Euro wake up series to begin. Now we have to suffer through 4 straight tape delays?

they already had a three week break before the German GP....shit....that's fucked up schedule....we could've slip the Montreal GP or South Africa (like the early 90's) into the calender with these 3-weeks and 4-weeks break.... a whole fucking bloody month with no race....i feel like winter again....

For sure. I don't want to have to save up a ton of money just to watch a race.

Mark Weber - Right shin - midway down his leg: What the hell is that bump!?!
I know he has the accident with the bike and that he still has a titanium rod in his leg, but what is that? Nasty mosquito bite?
