thanks for the ipout guys, gunna do a test drive this week to get a feel for it. I think the ls2 has around 420hp but i think its a bit of a pig on the weight. Will let u know if interested of my test drive during the week. If anyone has a good hands-on review would be great.

I drove a new Dodge Charger with a 3.5l V6 "High Output" 250hp engine and it felt slower than a 1.6 litre 115hp Renault Megane.
So when you say 420hp in a big american car you really don't know what to expect.

you mean lt3 right? the ls2 is only 400hp. the lt3 on the other hand...in a c6 with I/E it's faster than the z06! that motor is a beast. I can only comment on the motor sorry...btw I don't miss my 300 srt8 much w/ 425 hp

I thought it was the Camaro SS that has 420 or are you guys talking about the engine in the car being ls2, lt3? ANyway.... I don't know how tall (or big) you are, but I'm 6'4, and I was looking at the Camaro, I sat in one and my god it was small... My head was touching the roof... Instant no-no... THere is a wealth of mods (official chevy mods) available and of course tons of aftermarket support for it... but Not worth it in my opinion...

I used to own a a 2005 GTO... loved that car but the front end wore thin on me - and the handling was putrid - Yuck.
I had a termy.... for a year- Yuck. New Camaro. YUCK. It sits 10 feet in the air and is butt ugly. New challenger - Nice looking, but underpowered New mustang - yuck. Been there, done that, american "muscle" sucks now. so yes. Yuck. Come slap me if you think you can get away with it hot shot. |

second Gen - it was a 1978 starfire firenza the one with the rear spoler and stuff - it had a manual gearbox - I THINK it was a 5 speed but I cant recall. Solid black, someone had repainted it from the original two tone.. had the V-6 in it, I think it was a 231 ci. buick motor.

the handling is terrible, and you'll be really disappointed with the feel of the clutch, not as smooth as the bmw's.

wow they didnt make too many of those cars. I believe mine was a 1977 but i could be wrong, it was white with red plastic interior, a three speed auto with the v6. I cant recall if it had a spoiler. The car didnt last too long for me < 12 months. I guess i was hard on it being my first car. take care ppp

The look good if you drop them, the sit way too high. I did see one race the other night stock and it was a pig. Slow and way too quiet stock, I was not impressed by it. On the other hand, I did like the new Charger I saw that was lowered, exhaust and a very large cam!

Yes it handles like complete shit.
All the way around the 'ring ahead of the E46 M3, meaning it handily beats our 335's. It'd be nice to match the Maro's time, but we have to catch up to the Cobalt first. |

it was the fist car i checked out at this years car show. i was very disappointed. i happen to think it looks great on the outside, but the inside is a let down. 0 quality, and what got me the most was how they put immitation brake ducts on the rear fenders. was not impressed at all. i couldnt believe that some were saying that was the car that could save GM.
