Question What should I expect for my 325xi? (Canada)

I have posted this in the Canada forum and the Pre-owned pricing forum, recieved no solid replies in the Canada forum and NO replies in the Pre-owned pricing forum!

So heres the post..

Well the title says it all really.. What should I expect for my 2006 325xi?

The car is completely stock except for the rims (I have the original ones also)

Specs:

Ext. Colour - 300 - Alpine White
Int. Colour - KASW - Black Letherette
Total KM's to date - 70000

205 - 6 Speed Transmission w/STEPTRONIC
403 - Glass Sunroof

The car was first registered June 28 2006

It is a CPO and is under full warranty until 2012 or 120,000 KM's (whichever comes first)

I'm looking to sell right back to the dealer but if I could get a better price elsewhere I would consider it..

For pictures check out my sig

Thanks for any help in advance guys! And if anyone knows would BMW buy back the car with the rims still on or would I have to try and shift those elsewhere? Thanks again..

You'll always get more if you sell the car yourself. Of course, that requires time and effort.

The dealer would probably take the car with the Beyerns on there, but why do that if you have the OEM wheels? Sell the car with the original wheels and sell the Beyerns separately.

I would sell them seperately but I have to shift the car by next wednesday and I doubt I'll sell the Beyerns for my 'asking price' of $2900 so yh..

My goodness, you must have been severely overcharged for those rims and tires in the first place. I have 19" Beyerns too and the tires cost more than the wheels, the rims themselves were very reasonable new.

The tyres were about $1200CAD and the rims were double that.. If you're telling me you paid more for the tyres than you did for the wheels then sir you have fake beyerns not being funny or even joking but its true.. Just ask 'Rome' (who also posted up there ^^) he thought he was getting a great deal but they turned out to be fakes..

The tires were $440 a piece installed. The rims...I can't recall exactly but I think they were about $400 a piece (or just under) 16 months ago and they're most definitely real. I can only imagine it helps when it's the 6th set of rims I've purchased from the same family-owned shop over the years and I pay cash...

Can't say anything about the rims, but those are CRAZY expensive tires. What kind/size?

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric in 235/35/19 & 275/30/19. Tires are vastly overpriced here in Canada. I've already started looking for new winter tires and the Bridgestone WS-60s in 235/40/18 are selling at the Tire Rack for US$162 while the cheapest local price I found was CAD$295. Both are plus tax and shipping.

Ahh, interesting. Nice tires though. Even in the US the 275s (F1) would be around 300 per tire on tirerack plus shipping. Anyway, OT I know, but I was curious.

can we just re-cap

you paid $440 x 4 for the tyres = 1760

you paid $400 x 4 for the rims = 1600

total = 3360

I brought them a very short while ago and I expect $2900CAD with less than 2000kms on them. How exactly have I been 'severely' over charged? I paid what $3600 for them? You brought yours 16 months ago, there is a little thing called reccesion happening all around the world (heard of it?) and I live in Calgary where everything is generally more expensive.. So please explain your theory about how I was severely over charged because I paid a mere $240CAD (which would probably count for the over night shipping + 2/3 hours of labour) more than you did 16 MONTHS AGO .. Thanks?

Oh and you mention you 'paid cash'? Is that some sort of remark against me? FYI I paid cash for the car and rims. Just to make it clear like crystal . And I do believe the world as it is now, you would get more discounts buying things on finance rather than cash. so yeh..

Look I don't mean to argue with you or devalue your sale. But at least by prices here in Toronto, you overpaid in one aspect. Lexani N3000s in 19" are only about $200 a piece and that hasn't changed in the past year. However you do bring up a good point that I did not notice in that you live in Calgary where everything is more expensive, so I guess it carries over to wheels & tires, I don't know. I also looked up Beyerns and they too definitely jacked up their prices since last year.

The cash remark wasn't a stab at you. It was meant to infer that I got a better discount as they didn't have to allocate 4% to the credit card company.

Anyway, good luck with the sale. I can say for certain that Beyerns are some of the strongest cast wheels on the market and my set have survived potholes when by previous forged wheels bent.

From Brian Jessel in here in Vancouver when I bought my E92 for ED back in April I traded in my 2003 320i and only got $12,000 for it.

It was similarly equipped as yours. I had 77,000 km, sunroof, heated seats. Titanium silver with black leatherette, 5-spd automatic with steptronic.

Car was 3 years older than yours, a lower model and didn't have all wheel drive so I'd take a guess that they'll give you in the $20,000 to $25,000 range. Probably in the low to mid of that range.

You know im just getting frustrated at the aspect of only having 3 days to sell my bimmer, i went to the same place i brought it and the manager was too busy doing 'nothing' so after an hour of pintless waiting i left and now theres only one other bmw dealsership in calgary so Im going to check that out.

So lets just put it down to this.. George W Bush (the 2nd lol) messed up the world completely for us

$12,000 for a 2003 320i seems like a pretty sweet deal though!
Yh hopefully I get about $23000/24000
