the hks system is at the top of my list...but i am hoping VK motorworks puts together a system similar in performance/noise levels and blows the doors open w/ a killer price group buy after the FMIC.

I drove a car with catless down pipes and HKS cat back.....it sounded great and was still quite in the cabin. You will hear the exhaust it is just not annoying.

Stock exhaust with catless DPs sounds pretty good IMHO.

I have ar design catless DPs and stock exhaust at the moment. Sounds great, but after reading Scalbert's thread about Milltek exhaust, I ordered it too. The sound is just like I wanted it to be (not too loud, almost like stock, but deeper).

I'm happy with my AE. Sounds amazing when you step on it, but cruising you barely hear it.

Not at all. IMO, I think it sounds more like a stock E46 M3 exhaust when you install catless DPs.

I'm voting AE Exhaust, haven't experienced it in person but sounds great on those vid clips! Higher budget? Go for ARQRAY!

Personally I have the HKS and I simply love it. The sound is deep and throaty, most hp of any exhaust out there, and the quality is unsurpassed. I really think HKS hit it spot on here.

I think www.bimmerworld.com would be your best bet for the HKS exhaust.

The BMW markup is in full effect...especially on the latest generation of cars.

If you want to connect to the DPs via flange and want cats, ae seems the way to go.
