which xenons bulbs
Need to upgrade the standard e90 xenons as these being 4300k look terrible
So really option is 5000K or 6000K- prefer 5000k but there seems to be a real shortage of d1s 5000k bulbs. So looks like 6000K is way to go question is do I go for a budget set such as these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/D1S-Factory-Re...d=p3286.c0.m14 or Philips branded ones http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PHILIPS-6000K-...d=p3286.c0.m14 Seem more logical to go for branded ones any thoughts, as have a feeling the cheaper ones would not last very long. Especially now xenons are used to flash people so designed to come on and off frequently. Somehow I dont see the ballasts on the cheap ones being as good. Any thoughts anyone.

I went for the basic Ebay cheapo 6000K xenons and they are still going strong (touch wood) after a year.
Since they are a third of the price, I would recommend the cheap ones.

I bought them from a German ebay user back in June 2008 for €100. They were the cheapest i could find at the time. They were unbranded and made in China I think - so basically - generic cheap crap ones - probably made from old washing machine parts in a sweat shop
