PS3 has not been cracked yet... probably won't be in the near future.

Yeah. It's pretty easy. Install Linux on the PS3, then just

# mount /dev/sdc1 /mnt # or whatever the usb hdd's name is
# dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/mnt/somegame.iso
# umount /mnt

Then plug the external drive into your PC, and burn the image to disk.

Thanks for the info. How do I install Linux/where do i get it from? Also do you need to burn the image onto a bluray disc or something?

If you have any general Linux related questions, you can post them here or PM me and I will answer them. Although I've never done an installation on a PS3, I have friends that have, and I've been working with Linux for ~14 years. The most important thing in an installation of this sort is to prepare thoroughly by making sure all the prerequisites have been satisfied (e.g. having a USB keyboard, connecting the PS3 to your router via Cat5, etc.), and following the instructions as closely as possible.
