Thumbs down Borla Racing pipes installed - what the hell!

Wow guys dont buy Borla pipes... the connection to the downpipes is smaller than stock pipe and really badly done. see picture... I now have to custom weld something there to at least match the OEM diameter. i think the Borla is 2 inches only at the connection.
Stay away from those.
Totally catless with Bastuck you get a good sound but raspy from 1700-2200 Rpm. not very happy might put back the stock pipes.

Why not just cut your second cats off and stick with the stock piping. I think axleback exhausts are a waste of money. 1500 for two mufflers is a rip off.

This is strange. I knew that the inner part of the piping was a bit smaller but I didn't think that it was 2".

Just go with the AE exhaust and they'll mate up fine with the DPs.

is not only that they are smaller. The flange is not free, basically they made the pipe smaller, put in the flange and soldered it. That is going to create lots of turbolence and back pressure... Will custom weld it next spring or just put back the stock exhaust.

no leaks, but how can they make the connection to the downpipe even smaller than stock??? Really bad. I am looking now at the Rennart resonated Cat-delete pipes. Will see.

+1

Makes no sense to make the pipes smaller than stock. Kinda defeats the purpose. Resonated mid pipes would sound the best since it'll help with eliminating rasp. Or even catted mid pipes.
