Angry BMW Oil Problem

I'm driving a european 2007 BMW 320i M-Sport - Car seems to be drinking a lot of oil at the moment.

There doesn't appear to be a leak from the system, it's looks like the engine is just burning oil.....

How often do you guys change (top-up) your oil? In my instance the car was service about 6,000 mls ago and I'll have to top the oil up today....

Do this seems unusual to you guys?

Thanking you kindly for the help

In the U.S. dealerships claim 1 quart per 1,000 miles is acceptable. My own personal experience has been that the engine will tend to burn some oil until you reach ~20k miles.
